It was Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin’s first Baron Cup championship, and it took hard work to overcome a 2-0 early West Geauga lead to grab the Cup, 5-3, on Feb. 15.

But NDCL tied the match at 2-2 heading into the third period. Ultimately, it was the Lions’ (19-13-1) goalie Harry Giegerich, who had 35 saves, and Joe IaDemarco, who scored three goals in the school’s first ever title to grab the win. West Geauga now stands at 22-8.
