A divided 11th District Court of Appeals recently ruled that the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas properly sentenced an embezzler to prison despite a plea agreement that included an agreed-upon sentence of community control. The defendant, Richard Chesler, was the son-in-law of the victim, James Adair, at the time that he committed his offenses.
