Newbury Township Trustees will not be coming onto residents’ properties and towing junk vehicles away anytime soon, despite a proposal from the township’s zoning commission that they do so. Trustees decided Tuesday local government shouldn’t take away their residents’ possessions, even if those possessions are a nuisance and even though the officials are authorized under state law to do it. “Just because we can doesn’t mean we should,” Trustee Glen Quigley said.
