Two Geauga County residents employed as corrections officers at Lake Erie Correctional Institute were arrested Wednesday for manufacturing drugs, according to a press release from the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Friday.
Detectives were conducting a drug investigation at 15720 Pioneer Road in Huntsburg Township Wednesday when they reportedly saw Timothy R. Winters, 27, of 12039 Nicki Lane in Hambden Township, trying to hide a one pot methamphetamine lab inside the house.
After obtaining a search warrant, detectives found four one pot bottles and arrested Winters and Brandon D. Inghram, 24, of 15720 Pioneer Road, Huntsburg Township, and charged them with manufacturing drugs, a second-degree felony.
Sarah Belle J. Stafford, 27, of 3759 Black Sea Rd., Dorset Township was arrested for complicity to manufacture drugs, also a second-degree felony.
Stafford and Winters are both employed at Lake Erie Correctional Institute.
All three were arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court Friday. Winters bond was set at $30,000 cash or surety, Inghram’s bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety. Stafford’s bond was set at $30,000 cash or surety.
