NOTICE OF ELECTION ON BOND ISSUE AND TAX LEVY

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Kenston Local School Board of the Kenston Local School District of Bainbridge Township, Ohio, passed on the      15th day of December, 2014, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Special Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2015, the following questions as a single proposal:
(1) the question of issuing bonds in the principal amount of Ten million dollars ($10,000,000) for the purpose of constructing, renovating, remodeling, rehabilitating, adding to, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving buildings and facilities, and preparing, equipping and otherwise improving real estate, for School District purposes, as provided by law.
The maximum number of years during which such bonds are to run is 32 years.
The estimated average additional tax rate amounts to 7 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, which is 0.7 mills for each one dollar of valuation, in excess of the ten mill limitation, as certified by the County Auditor.
(2) the question of an additional levy of taxes for the benefit of the Kenston Local School District for the purpose current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding 4.0 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 40 cents for each one hundred dollars of tax valuation, for a continuing period of time.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Education of the West Geauga Local School District, Ohio, adopted on the 26th day of January, 2015, there will be submitted to a vote of electors of said School District at the Special Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2015, the question of the renewal of an existing tax levy in the sum of $2,350,000 per year for a period of five years for the purpose of providing for the EMERGENCY REQUIREMENTS of the School District. If a majority of the voters voting thereon vote in favor thereof, the tax will commence in 2015 and be first due in calendar year 2016.
The estimated tax outside the ten-mill limitation necessary to raise that annual amount as certified by the County Auditor is 3.7 mills for each one dollar of tax valuation, which amounts to 37 cents for each one hundred dollars of tax valuation.
The polls for the election will open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.

Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of County Commissioners in and for Geauga County at their offices, 470 Center Street, Building No. 4, Chardon, Ohio 44024; up to the hour of 2:45 P.M. on May 13, 2015, and opened at 3:00 P.M., for the following project:
Geauga County Court of Common Pleas Electronic Filing System
Said proposals shall be to provide and implement an electronic court filing system for use by the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas and the Geauga County Clerk of Courts in accordance with specifications developed by the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas Information Technology Team. The specifications and request for proposals package may be obtained from Deborah Urankar, Information Technology Officer for the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, at the Geauga County Courthouse, 100 Short Court, Suite 400, Chardon, Ohio  44024, during weekday business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or via email at CourtIT@geaugacourts.org.

The Proposal must be accompanied by an original sealed document in the form of a bond or certified check, cashier’s check or money order on a solvent bank or savings and loan association in the amount of 5% of the proposal, conditioned that the respondent, if the respondent’s proposal is accepted, shall execute a contract in conformity to the Request for Proposal. Each vendor seeking to submit a proposal on this project MUST attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference to be held in the Geauga County Courthouse on May 11, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Questions of clarification of this document will be answered at this time. No questions will be fielded apart from this Pre-Bid Conference so as not to afford any particular vendor undue advantage in the process.
The proposal will be evaluated based on criteria set forth in the specifications and request for proposals. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.  Each proposal must contain the full legal name of the offeror and the principal owners if operating as a legal entity with a different name.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Munson Township Board of Trustees, c/o Judy Toth, Fiscal Officer, 12210 Auburn Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024 until 3:00 P.M. official local time on May 12, 2015.  Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:50 P.M. the same day at the Munson Township Town Hall Building for The Asphalt Resurfacing of Various Roads in Munson Township.  The Engineer’s estimate for this project is $215,000.00.

A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid. The bid shall be let upon a unit price basis.
