Congratulations
The Munson Board of Trustees recently issued a resolution honoring Jaclyn Breier on her achievement of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award in 2014, the highest rank in scouting. Jaclyn is a 2014 graduate of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and currently a student at the University of Notre Dame’s School of Engineering. Jaclyn has been in Girl Scouts since the age of five and continues to be involved in Girl Scouts as a lifetime registered member of the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. The resolution will be permanently recorded in Munson Township records.

Vacation Bible School
Peace Lutheran Church, 12686 Bass Lake Road, Munson, will have a vacation Bible school for children ages 4-12 July 6-12 from 6-8 p.m. There will be music, games, crafts, entertainment by Puppets of Peace and a visit by Swifty the Clown on July 9.

Tri-County Coin Club
The Tri-County Coin Club will meet at 7 p.m. July 9 at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson. Following a short business meeting, there will be coin displays, a 50-plus-lot coin auction, a 50-50 drawing and more.
The monthly meetings are free and open to all ages of coin collectors. For information, call 440-564-7142.
WomenSafe Summer Dance
The Friends of WomenSafe Inc., an all-volunteer organization, is accepting reservations for the annual summer dance taking place July 18 from 7-11 p.m. at Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road. The evening begins with a one-hour swing dance lesson with Will Craig and Lindsey Leonard. Blue Lunch will entertain with music for dancing.

Proceeds benefit the services and accommodations offered to victims of domestic violence and abuse at The Green House on Ravenna Road in Munson.
Help Me Learn Day
Monetary donations and new school supplies are being accepted at Geauga County Job & Family Services, 12455 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, for “Help Me Learn Day” Aug. 10. The program, now in its ninth year, helps children of Geauga County’s low-income families.
Donations may be brought to the office. Monetary donations can be made out and mailed to Special Services of Geauga County, P.O. Box 309, Chardon OH 44024. Please indicate “Help Me Learn Day” on the check.
Volunteers are needed to set up and help the children “shop” on Aug. 10. For more information or to volunteer, call 440-285-9141.

Munson Township’s popular outdoor flea market will be held at Munson Park on Bass Lake Road Sept. 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
