Declining enrollment, maintaining an aging facility and increased costs have made it necessary for Newbury?Schools to lose its status as one of the last of the single township rural school districts in Ohio. Instead, it faces possible consolidation with neighboring Berkshire Schools, which is facing similar challenges, Newbury School Board member Guy Munn told Newbury Township Trustees last Wednesday.
