Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the Claridon Township Administration Building, 13932 Mayfield Road, Chardon, Ohio 44024, on Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and Noon and on September 21, 2015 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., for the purchase of a John Deere JD F687 Ztrac Commercial Mower with a 23 HP Vtwin engine and 60 inch mowing deck. The hours of use are unknown, but the mower is estimated to be about 10 years old. Envelopes should be marked “MOWER” and should contain the bidder’s name and phone number along with the bid amount. Bids will be opened at 6:15 p.m. September 21, 2015, at the Board of Trustees Meeting at the Administration Building. The Mower is being sold “WHERE IS” and “AS IS” and without any warranty whatsoever as to the condition thereof. In the event of a tie, there will be a random drawing to determine which bid to accept. Request for Proposals
West Geauga Senior Center Lease
Geauga County Board of Commissioners
The Geauga County Board of Commissioners desires to lease space for use as the West Geauga Senior Center and invites interested parties to submit proposals.
The minimum lease term shall be for a period of twenty-four months, and the following criteria will be considered prior to leasing the property:
-located in Chester Twp.
-desired size: 6,000 square feet minimum
-1 or more large space(s)/ room(s) exceeding 1200 sq. ft.
-minimum of 4 handicap accessible restrooms for men and women
-Ability to accommodate commercial kitchen equipment for daily use to prepare meals (1 convection oven-3 phase electric 220 volt, 1 refrigerator-120 volt, 1 freezer-120 volt, prep sink and/or hand washing sink, 1 steam table-120 volt)
-Minimum of 60 parking spaces for daily use by lessee
-Ability to accommodate pottery kiln (220 volt)
-ample dedicated storage space with the ability to be locked for pottery supplies, stained glass supplies, free weights, exercise equipment, craft supplies, confidential records, food service, serve ware and supplies
-1-2 dedicated offices (min 120 sq. ft. each) with the ability to be locked
-snow removal/walkways salted by lessor
-trash removal/dumpster provided by lessor
-allows tenant to install internet and telephone
Proposals must address the above criteria and fill in Lease Proposal Form Page One and Two and are due by 1:45 p.m. on 7th of October 2015 at the Offices of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, 470 Center Street, Bldg 4, Chardon, Ohio 44024, and will be opened and read at 2:00 P.M.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received in response to this request as determined to be in the best interest of the County.
After initial review of the submittals, the County may invite some applicants for an interview and/or schedule a tour of the proposed lease facilities. It is expressly understood that the County shall incur no costs as a result of this interview and/or tour, nor bear any obligation in further consideration of the submittal.
The County will conduct contract negotiations with the applicant who is selected as most beneficial to the County. The goal of the negotiations is to obtain the best and lowest price reasonably possible considering the fair market value of the property and any relocation and operational costs that may be incurred during the period the lease is in effect. The terms and conditions of this Request will be incorporated into the Contract.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, the Geauga County Department of Aging, and the Geauga County Prosecutor.

Sealed bids for the labor and materials to complete the:
2015 Library Alterations –
Newbury Elementary School
Will be received at the Board of Education Offices OFFICE OF THE TREASURER, NEWBURY LOCAL SCHOOLS, 14775 AUBURN ROAD, NEWBURY OHIO, 44065, until 12:00 Noon, local time on Friday September 18, 2015 and will be publicly opened, read and recorded immediately thereafter. Sealed bids received after 12:00 Noon will not be accepted.
Complete sets of plans and specifications may be examined at the above noted office of the Owner and at certain plan examination services listed by the Architect. Copies of complete sets covering the work may be obtained from E-blueprint Company phone: 216-281-1234 upon receipt of a non-refundable check made payable to Glen D. Ramage Architect, Inc.  in the amount of – SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($75.00) for each set.
There will be a Pre-bid Conference for any interested bidders on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Newbury Elementary School, 14775 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065 at 3:30 P.M.
Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of either:
1. A bid guarantee and contract bond for the full amount of the bid, written upon an acceptable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio. The form of the bond shall be provided in Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code.
2. A certified check or cashier’s check made payable to the “Newbury Local Schools” or a letter of credit meeting requirements of Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount. When a check or letter of credit is used, a separate 100% performance/payment bond will be required upon signing of the Contract.
3. The bond must be issued by a surety company authorized by the Ohio Department of Insurance to transact business in the State of Ohio, listed in the Department of Treasury Circular 570, rated at least “A” (Excellent) Class “VII” in the most recently published Best’s Business Insurance Report and acceptable by the Owner.
Bid guarantees of all unacceptable bidders will be held until a proper contract is entered into or until all bids are rejected and then returned.
No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for the receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the lowest, most responsive and responsible bid, to waive any informalities in bidding and/or to consult with any bidder to clarify any and all bids. The successful bidder shall produce an affidavit certifying that there are no delinquent taxes owed.
