Internet Safety for Parents
National Internet Safety Expert Jesse Weinberger will speak to Chardon parents on how to keep their children safe in an always connected digital society on Sept. 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Chardon Middle School LGIR.
Digital content and digital connectivity are critical to children’s academic success and preparation for a 21st century workforce. But, if parents are not deeply concerned about the safety of their children as they travel the web on their phones, tablets, laptops and gaming devices, they should be.
Ms. Weinberger captivates an audience in the very informative, yet entertaining, style as she provides valuable insights, suggestions and guidance. Topics to be covered include Understanding Social Media, Cyber-bullying, Sexting, Sexual Predation and Sextortion and Social Media – Specific Platforms.
No children will be allowed into the presentation.
