Grace Wilson, a Chagrin Falls senior volleyballer, has been named the first recruit to Lakeland Community College women’s volleyball team by Lakeland coach Russ Miozzi.

As a senior, Wilson started as outside hitter and helped the Tigers go 14-9 this season.

She appeared in all 23 matches and played a total of 70 sets with the Tigers. Wilson finished with 72 kills on the season and ranked among the team leaders in attack efficiency at .833. Additionally, she was effective at the service line where she recorded seven aces and 56 service points with a .922 serve percentage. Despite minimal time in the back row, she also chipped in 51 digs.

A four-year volleyball player and three-sport student-athlete at Chagrin Falls, Wilson also earned three letters in track and field. She also lettered in softball as a freshman and participated in three seasons of basketball. In addition to her athletic endeavors, Wilson was an active member of the Chagrin Falls Marching Band throughout her high school career.

An honor roll student throughout high school, Wilson plans to pursue a degree and career in medical sonography.
