Chardon High School inducted two new members into its athletic hall of fame last weekend. Ed Huxel was a three-sport athlete, earning varsity letters in football, wrestling and track before graduating in 1967. Huxel was a senior captain of the football and wrestling teams, and a two-time all-conference offensive lineman. Huxel went on to wrestle at Ohio State University and earned a degree in biochemistry, as well as a master’s degree from Oregon State University and an engineering master’s from U.C. Davis.
