Historic Tidbit
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is Dec. 7. In 1941, the Japanese bombed the U.S. Air Corps Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and the Philippine It’slands. The United States lost 2,400 military personnel and 1,178 lay wounded in that sneak attack.
The next day Congress declared war on Japan and Germany and President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared it “A day that will live in infamy.”
Fly the U.S. flag in honor of those who gave and continue to give their lives in defense of our great country.
