Living On Mars
Jan. 8, 7-8 p.m.
Observatory Park
What would it take for humans to live on Mars? Learn more about plans for colonizing the red planet at the Robert McCullough Science Center. Followed by night-sky viewing using the Observatory Park telescopes if weather permits.
Learn to Snowshoe
Jan. 9
Learn the basics of snowshoeing at Big Creek’s Meyer Center from 10 a.m. to noon or at Frohing Meadows’ Kaytdid Shelter from 2-4 p.m. Indoor presentation will be followed by outdoor instruction. Borrow a pair from the park district or bring your own. Ages 8 and up. Registration required.
Cub Scouts: Astronomy Beltloop & Pin
Jan. 9, 1-3 p.m.
The West Woods Nature Center
Scouts work on requirements utilizing the planetarium and special exhibits at Observatory Park. Registration required.
Night Sky Viewing

Observatory Park
Take in the wonders of the universe using the Observatory Park telescopes. If weather conditions are cloudy, join us for an indoor planetarium presentation instead.
Intro to Cross Country Skiing

Orchard Hills Park, Lodge
Learn the basics of cross country skiing. Indoor presentation will be followed by outdoor instruction. Ski rental available in advance from Geiger’s of Chagrin Falls 440-247-4900. Registration required.
