With more than 20 new offerings, including web design, entrepreneurship, leadership, fly fishing, CSI Gilmour and more, Gilmour Academy’s summer camps have something for everyone.
Camps will be offered from June 6 through Aug. 12. The seven weeks of Preschool Camp will delight children ages 3 to 5 as they explore a different theme each week. The topics range from Mad Science and Magic to Poking Around the Pond and from Barnyard Discoveries to Under the Big Top, with a whole lot of other fun in between.
There is sure to be something for everyone.
This summer, the 10 weeks of Day Camp as well as the weekly specialty camps offer opportunities for ages 5 to 13. Day campers will enjoy a different theme each week, too, and will find themselves looking at the science of summer, learning how to investigate a crime scene or exploring all what Cleveland has to offer as they take excursions around the city.
Campers at the specialty camps can spend a week learning the ins and outs of the great outdoors or how to launch their own product. They might spend a week in the kitchen honing their culinary craft. Other campers will enjoy exploring their leadership capabilities during a week of Leadership camp. The sky is the limit at Gilmour Academy’s summer camp and its 144-acre campus is perfect for picnics, games, film production, swimming, skating and more.
Weekly sports camps provide a chance for campers to hone their volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, softball or hockey skills as they receive instruction from high school-level coaches.
Finally, middle- and high-school students can earn credits in a variety of subjects including speech, chemistry, geometry, health, art and civic engagement.
For students entering grades 1 through 4, the academy offers an enrichment course, which helps students build their academic skills through fun and engaging activities designed to foster learning.
