Brandon Molter, 23, of Newbury, was killed in a car crash Wednesday night on Wilson Mills Road, according to a news release by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
The one-car crash happened at 11:45 p.m. when Molter’s 2008 Chevy Equinox failed to negotiate a curve while traveling west on Wilson Mills Road, the OHP said. The car went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and then overturned and ejected Molter, the OHP said.
Molter was taken to University Hospital Geauga Medical Center with serious injuries and died at the hospital, the OHP said.
Molter was not wearing a seatbelt, the OHP said, and “alcohol is suspected to be a factor.”
The crash remains under investigation.
