Berkshire Schools will pay nearly $22,000 for help in trying to turn around a food service department that’s operating in the red. At a special May 4 meeting, the school board unanimously approved entering a $21,778 contract with Lake County Educational Service Center for nutrition services for the 2016-2017 school year. The contract will allow Kelly Minnick, director of nutrition for Painesville City Schools and Madison Schools, to evaluate and make changes to the district’s food service department.
