The 26-year-old Chardon Schools employee who admitted to contacting his 15-year-old victim, in violation of a court order, has been placed on house arrest. Tyler Merkle, who has been charged with one count of sexual battery for inappropriate conduct with the female Chardon High School student, was also ordered to wear a GPS monitor, surrender his cell phone and stay off all electronic devices.
