Young of Heart
July 1, noon
St. Anselm Young of Heart will meet at the parish center. The speaker will be Dale Olson from the Geauga Beekeepers Association.
There may still be room on the trip to Marietta on Aug. 10 for a cruise on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler and much more. Cost is $75 or $79 for nonmembers. Space is still available on the Sept. 18-25 trip to Canada. Visit Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal and Niagara Falls. New Year’s Eve will be an overnight trip to Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana. Payment must be made by Sept. 10. The evening includes the Frank Sinatra tribute show by Michael Sonata, a steak and shrimp dinner, a 12-piece orchestra, a kielbasa and kraut buffet at midnight, nonalcoholic beverages all night, breakfast in the morning and a casino on the way home. Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP
July 5, 1 p.m.
The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will meet at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road.
Following a brief meeting, the group will discuss its upcoming trip to Greektown Casino in Detroit, Mich., on Aug. 24 for a cost of $32, with a $20 casino bonus. Sign up at the meeting or call Skip or Marge for reservations at 440-338-3607.
Then the group will hold its annual ice cream social. Wear crazy hats and enjoy some games of bingo.
Food and School supplies and food will be collected for the food pantry as well as dog supplies for the Geauga County Dog Shelter.

Paranormal Series at Chagrin
Tridia Hospice presents a speaker series for seniors interested in the supernatural at the Chagrin Falls Senior Center, 7060 Woodland Ave, Bainbridge.
Join one Thursday a month, August through December, for an hour-long program discussing the paranormal. Tricia Vidovic, community liaison at Tridia Hospice, will present a different topic each month. Come armed with personal stories of hauntings, ghost sightings and experiences.
Upcoming dates include: Aug. 18 — “Aliens & UFOs,” Sept. 22 — “Urban Legends,” Oct. 27 — “Ghosts & Hauntings” and Dec. 22 — “Paranormal & the Unknown.” All sessions begin at 11 a.m.
SNAP-Ed
Chagrin Falls Senior Center presents Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), a three-session series on senior nourishment, Aug. 9, 16 and 23 at 11 a.m. Find an easier way to enjoy healthier foods and learn simple ways to increase physical activity.
Each session will cover a new topic and present new activities. Learn about MyPlate, fruits and veggies, legumes and whole grains. Enjoy snacks, play Nutrition Bingo (with prizes), watch a food demo and sample the final recipe, learn new chair exercises and more.
