County Offers Flu Shots
Geauga County Health District will provide flu shots for anyone over 19 years old from 8:30-11 a.m. every Friday during the season at 470 Center St., Building 8, Chardon.
The cost to individuals paying in cash is $40, or, for high-dose vaccine for those 65 and older, $60. The health district is able to accept most Medicare and employer health insurance plans.
No appointment is necessary, but residents may call the health district at 440-279-1950 to preregister and have insurance verified.

2016 Immunization Clinics
The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card. The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:

Flu Shots
Lake Health is offering quadrivalent flu shots for $30 at the Chardon Campus Urgent Care Center, 510 Fifth Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No appointment is necessary. Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to receive the seasonal flu vaccine at our centers. The influenza vaccination is covered by Medicare.

Blood Pressure Screenings
Lake Health will offer free blood pressure checks at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
Wellness Wednesdays
Come to NAMI Geauga County every Wednesday to find wellness through its drop-in activities at 107 South St., #5, Chardon. Enjoy fitness with yoga and relaxation from 10-11 a.m. and activities and crafts from 12-1 p.m. Then, from 2-4 p.m., join NAMI Crafters the first and third Wednesdays and community outreach activities the second and fourth Wednesdays.
Free of charge; donations accepted. Make and takes are available. Preregistration is appreciated, but not necessary. Drop-ins are welcome.
