The rapid growth of Auburn Township over the last two decades has brought with it the potential for noise pollution. Commercial and industrial areas are located closer to residential neighborhoods and developments are built closer to businesses, zoning officials told trustees Dec. 5. To a standing-room-only crowd, trustees held a required public hearing on a proposed zoning amendment that the township’s zoning commission and Geauga County Planning Commission both recommended.
