The Library’s Online Resources

With a library card and internet access, one can stream up to 50 audiobooks, movies, TV shows and music albums a month, get a government document, renew an item to avoid a fine and more. The class will explore the Geauga County Public Library available to patrons outside of Chardon’s branch walls via a computer, tablet or smartphone. Feel free to bring one’s device or just come to observe.
This program is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
GEL Breakfast

Dr. John L. West, trustee professor of chemistry at Kent State University, will be the guest speaker at the next Geauga Economic Leadership (GEL) breakfast taking place at Kent State Geauga, 14111 Claridon-Troy Road in Burton. He will present “The Liquid Crystal Institute: 50 Years of Innovation.” The birthplace of crystal liquid displays, LCI is the world’s first research center focused on the basic and applied science of liquid crystals.
Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m. Free and open to the public. Registration is required.

College Admissions Session
Jan. 18, 6:30 p.m.
The Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation will hold a free session for high school seniors and their parents in the LEAF Resource Center located at 8221 Auburn Road in Concord. The session will explain the ins and outs of a student’s college experience, including how to prevent taking the five-year track and what different departments they will be dealing with throughout college.
