Berkshire Schools has hired a new superintendent and will formally introduce him to the public at a reception following the March 6 school board meeting. John Stoddard will assume the reigns of the 1,224-student district, effective Aug. 1. He will replace Doug DeLong, who resigned as superintendent in November. “I will be resigning my position as superintendent of the Berkshire Local Schools effective end of the work day, July 31, 2017,” DeLong said in a terse Nov. 3 letter to the school board.
