Board President Karen Blankenship opened the Feb. 28 Chardon Schools Board of Education meeting with a moment of silence to commemorate the victims of the high school shooting in 2012. Blankenship explained out of respect for the event and “what it means for all of us,” the board opted to move their Monday meeting to Tuesday night.
