The probate court-appointed Russell Township Park Board responded to recent reports and rumors speculating it was considering selling up to two passive park properties. In a letter to local media, Park Commissioner Charlie Butters addressed concerns surrounding one of the park lands, located at the corner of Dines and County Line roads. The property, which was once owned by Myrle and Arthur Blackburn, is zoned for passive park use and carries with it a restrictive conservation easement.
