Burton Congregational Church (the Big Red Church on the Square) is seeking volunteers to help out at its food pantry.
A Food Pantry Open House will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 1 for community members to see how the pantry operates.
The number of clients coming to the pantry for assistance is increasing. In February, over 190 families (450 individuals) were provided food and personal care items by the pantry located in the basement of Burton Congregational Church.
If you are looking for a meaningful and enriching way to help your community, stop by the church and see what they do, how they do it and how you can help out. Everyone of any faith or no particular faith is welcome.
