Alum Creates Opportunities

On May 9, NDCL alumna Brenna (Randel) Cook `00 brought participants in the Maple Heights Adult Activity Center to NDCL to create art with NDCL students. The program, in its third year, is sponsored through a yearly grant from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Brenna’s goal is to facilitate the participants’ ability to experience art in integrated environments.

“Art has connected so many people that would not have otherwise met each other,” Brenna shares. “Participants have experienced glass blowing, printmaking, fiber dye/weaving, photography and so much more.”

BGSU Women in Business

NDCL congratulates juniors Martina Katic and Jenna Suman for being selected to the inaugural class of Bowling Green State University’s Young Women in Business Leadership Camp. Martina and Jenna are among only 50 young women chosen to participate in the weeklong summer program focused on business and leadership skill development. They were nominated by business teacher Nancy Vondrak.
