The 41st Ohio Volunteer Regiment Company B bivouacked Aug. 19 at Newbury Veterans’ Park in honor of the township’s bicentennial and the soldiers who served in the Civil War. “Company B was formed in Newbury. A majority of the infantry came from here,” said Jake Newcombe, portraying Capt. Jacob Wiedermann of the mid-1860s.
