Celebrate Grandparents Day in September with DeJohn Funeral Homes as they welcome the community to a free hands-on workshop to help you capture your cherished memories on video.
The workshop is being held at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the DeJohn Funeral Homes & Crematory, 28890 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills.
During the hands-on seminar, you will learn to use the SimplyTold program (www.simply-told.com), where you can easily upload video messages to a private webpage — right from your smartphone.
In addition, you will review hundreds of questions and prompts to get you started or just tell your own stories.
“So many times we have heard from families that they wish they had taken the time to write down their grandparents stories,” said Ross DeJohn III, funeral director and President/COO of DeJohn Funeral Homes. “When we visit our elder parents/grandparents we discuss so many things, why not take a few extra minutes to capture some of those memories on video. We encourage you to attend and learn more about how you can do that now,”
Guests are encouraged to bring their spouse, family, friends and anyone who may be interested in creating videos to help capture the special memories and stories of their loved ones.
