Chardon police Lt. Troy Duncan carries a damaged bicycle after a cyclist was hit by a car on Chardon Square Thursday morning just before 10:45 a.m.
The incident happened at the at the southeast corner of the Square, directly across from the Chardon Fire Department. The cyclist was a boy under age 18, according to a witness at the scene.
A driver was a woman headed west from South Hambden street through the Square.
The cyclist was holding his right leg, and was transported via ambulance. The bike was being used as evidence, police said.
