CHS Rockets

Cardinal High School physics students are using trigonometry to measure altitude and time to measure velocity and calculate acceleration. To make the task a little easier, students conducted a rocket lab where they constructed everything but the engine.

Teacher Mr. Bronson says they all did a great job. Students then launched their rockets and recorded their findings. Rockets that survive their journey are then donated to Project Achieve, repaired and repainted by those students to launch again.

Students Attend Leadership Camp

A fantastic group of seventh- and eighth-graders recently attended Camp Burton YLP Leadership Camp. Students spent two days and one night participating in various leadership activities and discussions and learning how to build positive peer relationships. The hope is that students will bring some of what they learned at camp back to the middle school and implement these ideas to get other students involved and engaged in making positive changes in their lives and their school.

Students who attended either volunteered or were selected by their teachers. Seventh-grade students included Jaleya R., Nathan L., Ethan D. and Cameron P.

Eighth-graders were Stevie H., Mia P., Natalie M., Grace F., Sophitia J., Josiah K., Olivia O., Colby T. and Megan E.

CHS Bathroom Makeover

Cardinal High School students have done a fabulous job of beautifying the ladies restroom. Seniors Sarah H., Kaitlyn S., Madelyn D. and Barbara D. and junior Faith P. have been working on painting the area since school started, giving a new look to the restroom’s doors, vents and ceiling tiles. Now their art is complete, they’re on to painting areas above the lockers that aren’t already painted.
