The Families and Friends of Metzenbaum Center in Chester Township sponsored its 37th annual Quilt and Craft Auction to raise funds to support the individuals of the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD). The Nov. 4 event raised a total of $42,000. The auction drew a crowd of over 280 people, and more than 35 people volunteered their time, including members from St. Gabriel’s Church and Improvements, Inc. The event included a pancake breakfast provided by the West Geauga Kiwanis, silent auction, basket raffle, bake sale and a holiday shop. For more information about the GCBDD, visit www.geaugadd.org.
