A two-vehicle crash on State Route 528 in Middlefield just south of State Route 608 killed a Middlefield man 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release by Ohio Highway Patrol.
Richard Murray Jr. was transported to University Hospital Geauga Medical Center where he died due to the injuries of the crash, the OHP said.
The OHP detailed the crash as follows:
A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Bo C. Angel of Windham was traveling north on Route 528 when the Cruze traveled left of center and struck a 2010 Nissan Rogue driven by Murray. The Cruze struck the Rogue in “a head-on manner.”
Angel was treated and released at the scene. There were two women in the car with Muray. Both were treated by the Middlefield Fire Department for minor injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
