The lease between the United States Postal Service and the owners of the property located at 16200 McCall Road is expiring this month and will not be renewed, David G. Van Allen, USPS Strategic Communications, Northern Ohio and Ohio Valley Districts, said in an April 16 news release.
On April 28, the P.O. Boxes located at the former Parkman Township Post Office branch will be temporarily relocated to the Middlefield Post Office, 15593 East High St.
P.O. Box mail delivery will begin at the Middlefield branch on Saturday, April 28.
Street mail delivery is unaffected by this change.
Window service hours at the Middlefield Post Office are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Access to P.O. Boxes is 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
“No final decision has been made to permanently discontinue or close the Parkman Post Office,” the release stated. “A community meeting will be held at a future date to explain U.S.P.S. plans and solicit community comments.”
