Recorder’s Staff Does Great Job
The week of May 6 has been proclaimed Public Service Recognition Week. I would like to take a moment to recognize the staff of the Geauga County Recorder’s Office.
My staff does a great job of helping members of the public as they come in to record various documents or just want information regarding their land. They are courteous, helpful and very patient.
Celesta Mullins, my Administrative Assistant, is the go-to person in the office. She knows the answer to every question whether it’s about a recording, land history or sections of the Ohio Revised Code.
Mike Risko is our main proofreader and handles our eRecording. As a former title examiner, he also has an excellent understanding of what has to be done and why. And, he has his own band.
Deb Orr is determined to find the answer to any hard research question. Her main job is dealing with the historical portion of the office back scanning, back indexing and helping our area farmers who come in to research their land for inclusion in the Century Farm Program. She has it down to a science now.
Vicki Blair handles the daily inputting of documents. She makes sure that they are accounted for and indexed properly. She is also our “staff nutritionist.”
All staff members gladly issue ID cards to our Veterans and come in to the office after work hours to help with the Good Deeds Programs. I am grateful to have a staff that is committed to public service and does so with a joyful, friendly attitude.
Happy Public Service Recognition Week.
