The contract between Munson Township Trustees and the Munson Fire Department board of trustees was renewed for three months May 31 following a couple hours of discussion. Township Trustee Andy Bushman said changes to the department’s bylaws, its organization and procedures took up much of the discussion. The structure of the department’s board of trustees changed from three to five members in February and Assistant Chief Mike Vatty is serving as interim chief at his assistant chief salary since Mark Lynn will be retiring this month, Bushman said.
