Auburn Township voters are likely to see a five-year, 2-mill road levy renewal on the Nov. 6 ballot after trustees gave preliminary approval July 2 to notify the Geauga County Auditor’s Office of the need for the tax issue. Township Fiscal Officer Fred May told trustees last week the levy, originally passed in 2014, is due to expire in 2019. If the renewal is approved in November, taxes will be collected starting next year.
