Hidden in Plain Sight
On April 23, Cardinal High School and the Middlefield Police Department hosted a traveling exhibit called “Hidden in Plain Sight.” Created by the Bath Township and Copley Township police departments, the exhibit enlightened participants about how to recognize if their teenager may be involved in risky or even illegal activity.
An average teenager’s bedroom was reconstructed, complete with scattered clothing, school supplies and common everyday products most teenagers use. Officers from the Bath and Copley police departments discussed the at-risk behaviors associated with drug and alcohol abuse with parents and community members in the hopes of raising awareness and making a difference in the community.
Officers participating in the program were Paul Webb, Marcie Mason and Sarah Shendy from Copley Police Department and Lisa Baker from Bath Township Police Department.
