Brenda’s Recipe

This basic recipe is another good use of peanut butter in baking. You can add things like mini chocolate chips, chopped peanuts or even frost them with some peanut butter or milk chocolate icing.

PEANUT BUTTER BLONDIES

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup light brown sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4 tsp. salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly grease with cooking spray. Set aside
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and light brown sugar. 3. Mix thoroughly. Add in the egg and vanilla. Mix in the peanut butter and make sure all of the wet ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Add in the salt and flour.
  4. Spread the brownie mixer in the baking dish and spread out evenly with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
