Cold Nose Companions Dog Training is hosting “Wine for Whines: A Paint Your Pet Fundraiser,” benefitting the Geauga County Dog Shelter.
Pet lovers can enjoy an evening of fun creating their own painting of their pet while raising money for the dog shelter, on Friday, Sept. 21, from 6-9 p.m. at Cold Nose Companions Dog Training Center in Chardon.
The $80 registration includes a 12” x 12” canvas pre-sketched with the pet’s photo, quality art instruction from Mary Ann Hagen (maryannhagen.com), a buffet of local food, and wine from Sharon James Cellars.
Hagen provides group instruction for the class and assists individuals as needed to help them create a one-of-a-kind keepsake painting of their pet. Photos will be submitted in advance.
Hagen has been living, working and painting in the Northeast Ohio area for 35 years. Introduced to drawing and painting at a young age by her mom, art became her passion and lifelong journey. She holds a degree in graphic design from Lakeland Community College and has attended painting courses at Cleveland Institute of Art. Mediums include pastels, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink.
