The Ohio State Highway Patrol Chardon Post is investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred early Tuesday night that killed one man and left another injured, according to a media release from Post Commander Lt. Larry Roberts.
The state patrol responded to the fatal crash at approximately 7:21 p.m. Aug. 28 on state Route 86 at Leggett Road in Montville Township. Morgan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was taken to the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office.
Beranek was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. A passenger in his van, 24-year-old Dakoda Church, 24 was transported from the scene with life threatening injuries to University Hospital in Cleveland. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
