Grand Jury Indicts Madison Township Man on Child Pornography Charges
A Geauga County grand jury has handed up a 12-count indictment against a Madison Township man, accusing him of committing multiple child pornography crimes on May 20-21.

McFadden
William H. McFadden IV, 35, on four counts each of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, and three counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. Those charges are all second-degree felonies.
He also was charged with one county of fourth-degree pandering obscenity involving a minor. The alleged offense is part of a “continuing course of criminal conduct involving a chain of events that began in Geauga County,” the indictment stated.
An arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
McFadden, who previously spent eight years in prison for raping a young boy and girl in 2006, was occupying a home on Oxford Drive in Madison Township on June 29 when the Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office, Madison Township Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant.
Prosecutor’s office investigators had been conducting an online undercover investigation into the sharing of child pornography over the Internet and discovered that a computer coming from McFadden’s home was making child pornography available for download over the Internet, Prosecutor Jim Flaiz said earlier.
McFadden was arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court on July 2. Judge Terri Stupica set McFadden’s bond at $50,000 cash/surety, which has not been posted.
McFadden is a convicted Tier 3 sexual predator, after being convicted of two counts of rape and two counts of attempted rape arising out of a 2006 investigation by Madison Township Police. His victims were a boy between 10 and 11 years old, and a girl between 9 and 12 years old.
He was sentenced in January 2007 in Lake County Common Pleas Court to eight years in prison.
McFadden was released from prison in February 2015 and is under post release control until February 2020.
Geauga Man ‘Sextorted’ with Nude Photo
A Geauga County man has learned the importance of not sending nude selfies to people, after being targeted by an alleged blackmailer.
According to a Geauga County Sheriff’s Office media report, the man went to the sheriff’s office Saturday and told a deputy he was being threatened and blackmailed.
He said he had met a woman on Facebook’s Messenger application. The woman was supposed to come visit him from Texas, but got into a car crash and asked him to help her with the $1,300 bill.
“(He) said that he could not help her with the (bill) and she is now threatening to post a picture of him,” the report stated. “(He) said that he regretfully sent this female a picture of his penis after she requested it.”
The man said the woman is now threatening to post the photo on his Facebook account, to his friends and other websites if he does not send her $1,300.
He asked if there was anything that could be done to stop her from posting the photo — which he voluntarily sent to the woman.
A sheriff’s deputy advised the man law enforcement could not control the Internet and reiterated to the man he voluntarily sent the woman his photo.
