GLTG Summer Art Classes
The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild will offer summer classes in the arts starting in June. A variety of classes in different art mediums will be available for preschoolers through adults. Geauga Lyric Theater Guild Arts Center is located at 106 Water St. and at the Geauga Theater in Chardon.
The current production, “The Wizard of Oz,” runs through May 18. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and a special rate of $10 for children ages 12 and under.

‘Wizard of Oz’
Fairmount Center for the Arts’ Youth Theatre Lab presents “The Wizard of Oz” May 16 at 7:30 p.m. and May 17 and 18 at 2 p.m. at the Mayfield Village Civic Center in Mayfield Village.
It is the classic story of Dorothy (Madison Wessler of Solon), who, while trying to find her way home, encounters a Scarecrow (Samantha Weiskind of Solon), a Tin Man (Emma Helkey of Bainbridge) and a Lion (Olivia McDowell of Shaker Heights). She also meets the Wicked Witch (Kaitlyn Magalski of Bainbridge) who tries to destroy her and a Good Witch (Kaylee Tomsich of Bainbridge) and Wizard (Keenan Garceau of Bainbridge) who help her.
There are 25 cast members in this delightful and entertaining production. The play is directed by Patti Susman of Solon. Musical director is Joan Bendix of Cleveland Height and the choreographer is Merlynne Hancock of Troy Township.

Call For Entries
Fairmount Center for the Arts announces the 38th annual Fairmount Art Exhibition to be held June 1-12 at 8400 Fairmount Road in Russell Township. Artists of Northeast Ohio are invited to submit artwork on May 27, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Entry fee is $15 per piece, with a three piece submission maximum. Call 440-338-3171 for entry forms or download them at www.fairmountcenter.org.

The exhibition and special events are free and open to the public.
The public opening is May 31 from 6:30-9 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Judges will share their expertise and insights concerning the exhibition during a gallery talk on June 6 from 7-9 p.m.
