No one knows you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover or that its what is on the inside that counts more than Mary Sample, a mother of a special needs child. Which is why Sample sought to “redefine beauty” by starting the first-ever Special Girls Pageant, a formal dance for special needs people that celebrates beauty, inside and out.
