Truline Industries, a fuel pump bearings company in Chesterland, accepted the Ice Bucket challenge last week, a social media phenomenon that has raised millions of dollars for the ALS Association.
Tickets were purchased and put into the selected bucket with the 11 individual names that would be dumped upon. The managers drew two names from their bucket, where the first name got to do the dumping and the second name drawn got to dump the 10lbs of ice in the 5 gallons of water in which they could help dump the bucket.
Trulines employees Shawnna Lett and Melissa Decamillo came up with the idea to have a raffle. The raffle was to give employees the chance to dump the ice water on their choice in management.
Tickets were sold for $1 each and the employees were able to raise a total of $254 in which Truline will match and all together will donate $508 to the ALS Association and help in the fight against this awful disease.
