Basketball Fundraiser
Berkshire and Cardinal, normally rivals, are teaming up to raise money in a golf fundraiser.
The two-person nine-hole golf scramble will be 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at Grandview Golf Course and will be followed by the Ohio State vs. Cincinnati football game in the banquet room.
Tickets are $35 per person and include golf with cart and dinner (hamburger, hot dog, baked beans, potato salad.)
Proceeds will go to Nina Play Fun and the Berkshire boys’ basketball team.
Participants are encouraged to wear school colors.

Shoe Collection at Cardinal
The Cardinal Athletic Department is collecting shoes Sept. 11 through Oct. 11 to raise funds for the school’s running programs, while benefitting micro enterprise ventures in developing nations and keeping old shoes out of landfills.
Gently worn used shoes can be donated at the any of the district’s schools.
“Our goal is to collect 3,000 pairs of shoes,” said track and cross country coach Greg Cicero. “The only way we can do that is if community members step up and help. I am calling on everyone to clean out their unwanted, gently worn, used shoes and donate them to us.”
