The first thing the cast of Annie Warbucks wants to share is their “Annie,” Kayliegh Collins, has an amazing voice and should be on Broadway.
The second thing most mentioned is how much fun they are having with the large cast, and how they are looking forward to the production running Dec. 5 through Dec. 21, weekends at Geauga Lyric Theater.
Annie Warbucks picks up on Christmas day, right after Annie ends. Daddy Warbucks loves Annie, but to adopt her as a single parent is frowned upon in the Depression era.
The cast, composed of seasoned veterans, brand new actors, and those returning to an interest they held in high school, tell the story in song and dance with great enthusiasm.
Ten-year-old Izzy Glauser is gleeful that she was able convince her mom to audition and that she got a part. Izzy plays an orphan and mom Mary Glauser has several ensemble roles.
“I love hanging out with my mom and I am so surprised that she can sing and dance and is funny,” said Izzy.
With so much fun going on behind the scenes, imagine how enjoyable Annie Warbucks will be to watch. Tickets are on sale now.
Geauga Theater is located on Chardon Square at 101 Water St.
Annie Warbucks will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from Dec. 5-21.
