West Geauga Hockey Fundraiser
The West Geauga Wolverines varsity hockey team will play the Cleveland Mighty Barons in a fundraier for Ohio Sled Hockey, which provides opportunities for disabled athletes to play competitive hockey.
The game will be Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Gilmour Academy Ice Rink, 2045 Som Center Road, Gates Mills.
Tickets are $5.
Cardinal Schools Logo Contest
Cardinal Schools is holding a contest for artists to design a district logo.
“Submissions should include your artistic interpretation of a Huskie and/or some form of the letter “C” for Cardinal,” read the a news release. They should also include the school colors — red, white, gray and black — and be original.
Entries will be accepted until Jan. 30, 2015 and be judged the first week of February, announced on Feb. 11.
The winner will recieve two tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game courtesy of Ten10 Design in Chardon.

Cardinal Sells Shirts for Cause
Cardinal High School is selling T-shirts to support Paul Polverine, who is currently fighting colon cancer. “Paul has been an irreplaceable volunteer to our school for years,” read a news release. “He has been a line judge, cooked, and helped anywhere he was needed. The Polverine family has always been a generous and giving addition to our CHS family.”
Shirts can be purchashed at athletic home events and should be worn in support of the Polverines on Dec. 19, in a girls basketball game against Kirtland.
