At their organizational meeting, Russell Township Trustees accepted donations from area residents, including $350 for the police department, $250 for the fire department, $50 for the road department and $35 for administration. Trustee Justin Madden was elected chairman and Trustee Gary Gabram was elected vice chairman of the board. Trustee Jim Mueller was out of town and not at the meeting.
