Finding just the right camp for your child with special needs is important. You want them to have fun, make friends and have the opportunity to explore and challenge themselves. Accomplishing all of this in a supportive and nurturing environment is essential.
Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, 16497 Snyder Road, Chagrin Falls, specializes in programs for kids with special needs including physical, cognitive, developmental and behavioral disabilities.
By working with horses, campers discover their strengths in week-long camps throughout the summer.
Instructors are specially trained to bring out the best in children with special needs.
Each day, campers groom and ride their horses, as well as explore the 45-acre farm just outside Chagrin Falls. There are 10 sessions from June 9 to Aug. 8. The camp themes include:
Picasso’s Ponies Campers will ride and work with the artist-in-residence to explore their creativity using many mediums including the horses.
What’s Up Doc? This session is designed for your budding veterinarian. Campers will learn about horse care just like the veterinarians.
The Driver’s Seat Our exper-ienced driving team will teach campers the ins and outs of hitching a carriage and taking a carriage for a spin.
