A Geauga County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop April 21 on a Painesville man for expired license plates.

Johnathin A. Hall, 26, possessed a suspended operator’s license and had an active warrant for his arrest out of Ashtabula County.

Deputies investigated the violations and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies located a “one pot” methamphetamine lab and numerous chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine.

Deputies also located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle.

Hall was arrested for manufacturing of drugs, a second-degree felony.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office Clandestine Lab Response Team diffused the lab and all hazardous chemicals.

Hall was arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court on April 22. No further information is available at this time.
